COURSE OVERVIEW

This training course is a guide to successful implementation and reporting/disclosure of ESRS mandatory requirements to enable compliance with CSRD.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Use techniques learnt to implement processes and interpret mandatory requirements of ESRS within their organisation, enabling compliance with CSRD.
  • Map and assess stakeholders.
  • Assess ESRS topics for double materiality.
  • Understand and interpret mandatory disclosure requirements and framework of ESRS and the implications of these for their organisation.
  • Prepare for disclosure in accordance with CSRD.

You will need to demonstrate acceptable performance in these areas in order to complete the course successfully.

Introduction to CSRD

Understanding the background of CSRD and its relationship with ESRS.
Developing an understanding of how CSRD is integrated into the European Green Dea

  • ESRS 1: General Requirements 1-6
    • Understanding ESRS standards and mandatory elements
    • Map and assess stakeholders.
    • Understand and interpret ESRS requirements for implementing and integrating due diligence processes.
  • ESRS 2: General Disclosures
    • Understand and interpret mandatory disclosure requirements and framework of ESRS, and the implications of these for your organisation.
    • Prepare for disclosure in accordance with CSRD.
  • ESRS 1: General Requirements 7-10
    • Preparing and presenting sustainability information.
    • Understanding the structure of a Sustainability Report.

Prerequisite

Before starting this course, you are expected to have a basic knowledge of CSRD / ESRS Fundamentals.

Audience

This course is designed for individuals who are involved in the collection, analysis and reporting of sustainability data in line with ESRS, and for those in scope to report using a double materiality perspective, in compliance with CSRD.
